About Pantoprazole And Domperdone Capsules

Altodom - DSR capsules is a composition of Pantoprazole 40 mg+Domperidone 30 mg SR.

Pantoprazole with Domperidone is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach, to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn, Gastritis, ulcers and GERD. For best results, it should be taken just before a meal. It can help with the greater amount of stomach acid that is always produced.

Pantoprazole inhibits acid secretion by irreversibly binding to proton pump. It provides greater gastric ulcer cure rate than omeprazole. No drug interactions of clinical relevance have been reported as compared to other PPIs

Domperidone relieves emesis by antagonism of dopamine receptors in CTZ. It increases rate of gastric emptying. It improves contractions of peristalsis and esophagus clearance.
